Practices achieved
I am exploring the connection and integration of living food, its essence, how it reaches our plates, the outer and inner worlds, and how they interact.
Water & reciprocity
HOW MUCH WATER?
FLOW IN RECIPROCITY.
With the collaboration of Violeta Aguiar Lapa and Rebundance.
How much water, in our soil, water courses, sub-soil, atmosphere, food, plants, nature, living body.
Flow in reciprocity, In soil, atmosphere, food, plants, nature, living body, culture, systems, values, identity.
The practice. It is a component of a collection of concepts that I had the opportunity to acquire through a Food&Art course from different artists. Since then, I have started exercising and experimenting. It has no end or beginning; it is a sharing, a tribute to water, to nature, and to its capacity to preserve itself.
From scarcity to abundance
Presentation of the TUI - Field to Fork project in Mértola, hosted by Terra Sintrópica. I found inspiration in the contrast between scarcity and abundance, on the Guadiana river banks and cooked with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients from the Horta da Malhadinha. Witnessing the community come together and participating in this event, was my highlight.
Collaboration with Câmara Municipal de Mértola, PREC, Terra Sintrópica and TUI - Field to Fork . October 2025
Studies: the shores, the tides, scarcity, and abundance; the relationship with the phases of the moon and the sun.
Eat like a bird
Installation for a tasting of seasonal, organic, and plant-based foods. Eat like a bird, consuming only as much as we need.
Rebundance Gathering with the collaboration of sound designer Paulo Ribeiro, sounds of birds were captured in the areas of Torres Vedras, Malveira da Serra, and Monsanto. May 2024
Live food and dead food
I believe that nature is the purest source of life. The journey of food, from the soil to our bodies and to our souls, involves all active participants in the process, highlighting the influence of transactions between food and human beings.
If we exist on a deficient diet lacking nutrients, we are inviting diseases and promoting partial and fractured health, treating the problem rather than the cause. It is essential to observe automatic, unconscious, and invisible processes with due caution.
This project is a living process; the ideas are under construction. Creating empathy for the positive and developing solutions is the main objective of my projects.
Healthy soil rich in nutrients - water + irrigation + sun + moon - animals + biodiversity - farmers/people - respect and admiration for the capabilities and love of the land - harvest - head - sale - store + market (directly from the producer) - cooking - eating - digesting - integral health.
Agroecology.
Syntropic agriculture.
Local + seasonal.
Short circuits/proximity.
Waste (zero).
Compost.
Degraded soils - water + irrigation - chemicals - lack of biodiversity - mass production - people as parts of the mechanized process - packaging + plastic - supermarkets - supply markets - food waste - garbage - pre-prepared foods - dyes + preservatives - heating - eating - diseases - medicines + doctors.
Conventional agriculture.
Crises.
Shortage.
Food waste.
Inactive participation in the process.
Garbage.
Food with life (giving health)/without life (diseases for sale) Balance and imbalance
Dead food - gray - a lonely person (represents isolation from oneself, from others, from nature; eating as a physiological need, an isolated act) - black cloud - table with real degraded soil - plates with random food.
Live food - natural and bright colors - several people at the table, an act of conviviality and union - diversity on the plate - balance - nutrition - rich soil.
Fragmentation and separation/Cooperation and union
